My New Mattress Feels Different Than When I Tested it in Your Store. Why?
You might recall the old adage, Patience is a virtue. In the case of your new mattress, this saying holds true. Giving up too quickly on a mattress that you spent time trying out in the store will keep you from ultimately experiencing that same level of comfort you discovered in our store.
When you try out a mattress in the store, chances are, it has been on the floor for a little while, meaning that it has had time to adjust to the appropriate comfort level. This is why a new mattress that has just been delivered and set up in your home may not feel the same on the first night or even several nights later. Again, be patient, and give it time.
All mattresses need time for this transition from the new "just-out-of-the-box" product to the mattress you've been hoping for, which is why we ask you to allow between 4-6 weeks to get used to your mattress. In addition, your own body needs some time to adjust to a new mattress, particularly if you have had your previous mattress for several years. Also, when a mattress is first out of the package, if it contains memory foam, it can take a few days to fully expand. And any new mattress will need some time to air out.
Please note that every mattress has a different adjustment period. Some, like a spring mattress, may not need as much time as a memory foam mattress or a hybrid one. By giving the mattress and your own body time to adjust, you'll be able to break in your mattress to contour and support your own unique body needs.
Due to this adjustment cycle, we offer a window of time when you can exercise your exchange option, which is from 30 to 120 days from the time your mattress is delivered or the date you picked it up at our store. This is called our 120-Day comfort guarantee.
We want you to be comfortable and satisfied with your mattress purchase, and we will work with you in order to ensure that is the case. Reach out with any questions you have. We are happy to talk with you.
