Remember to include your bed frame height
A standard metal bed frame typically holds the foundation about 7 inches above the floor, and many wooden bed frames use a similar support height. Heights vary: some frames hold the foundation around 12 inches above the floor, while others sit lower. Measure from the floor to the surface where your foundation rests, then add the 9-inch foundation height and your mattress thickness to estimate your total bed height.
